Franklin is a fictional character, but represents a true success story in his development throughout Medicine Walk and Starlight . With everything he had going against him, how does Wagamese's character parallel the author's own path from troubled childhood to respected artist?  Consider their indigenous ancestry and identity, their relationships, and challenges.
